This is a hometown shout-out to a small business that has given back to the community and shown that even during a pandemic with some grit and hard work a restaurant can survive. Porter’s Real Barbeque does not need any help from a review site. But…… I could not leave them off of my list of great small businesses. It also happens to be one of if not my favorite Barbeque joints.
Porter’s Real Barbeque began as a food truck that hoped to get a few customers and do what Porter Kinny loves doing, which is creating world-class real barbeque. Now Porter's has three brick and mortar locations, a production kitchen location and they still run the food truck at times. The show of support from the community for this great barbeque caught on quickly and helped in the growth. Porter’s hard work and dedication to his craft, his family, employees, and community, made it a recipe for success.
Do not take all that from me though, like I said Porter’s needs no help from my small site. Porter’s has already won local, regional, and national awards for their real barbeque. If that is not enough Porters has also been the star on the Food Networks, Dinners Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.
On the menu, you will find my favorite the Prime Grade Beef Brisket (which they smoke for 14 hours!) and the Gouda Mac & Cheese. I try to stick with the Smoked Chicken Halves and Coleslaw these days. My family's favorites are the poppers and Kate’s Banana Pudding!
The quality of their food is amazing, and you will find something on the menu that anyone will love. If you find yourself in the Kennewick-Richland-Pasco, Washington area gives them a try or check them out online at Porters Real Barbeque.
